South African wingers rarely make the European jump this early, which is what makes Shandre Campbell worth a full file. Born 2005, he broke through at SuperSport United, earned a January 2025 move to Club Brugge, and is now getting his first sustained continental minutes on loan at KV Kortrijk. Left-footed, direct, and quick — the classic touchline profile the Belgian market likes to buy and resell.
Campbell's primary weapon is one-v-one directness. He receives wide, attacks the full-back's outside shoulder and can also cut inside onto his stronger left foot to shoot. His acceleration over the first ten metres creates separation, and unlike many raw wingers he already draws fouls in dangerous areas rather than running into dead ends. In transition he covers ground fast and carries the ball with purpose.
The development list is honest and typical for the profile. His final ball — the cross and the last pass — is inconsistent, and his defensive tracking is a work in progress that Belgian coaching will demand more of. Decision-making in the final third still swings between the brilliant and the wasteful within the same match; at 21, that is coachable, not structural.
Market note: the Brugge-to-loan model is designed exactly for this player — take a raw South African talent, expose him to European tempo at a mid-table side, and let the value compound before a bigger sale. For clubs scouting Southern Africa, Campbell is the benchmark of what SuperSport's academy line can now produce; the file to open is the market behind him.
Scout tavsiyesi: Track the SuperSport academy line; the Southern African market behind him is under-priced.
